With all that I’ve written for national and international magazines and special edition inserts, I'm proud to say that my stories capture the voices and trends that captivate readers and allow them to experience adventures, opportunities, and lifestyles they only previously imagined.
Among the dozens of articles I've written, my proudest journalistic credit is for my exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey for a FORBES AFRICA cover story. Even today, it still ranks as one of the Forbes franchise’s most in-demand editions.
As a regular contributor to the FORBES franchise, MOVIEMAKER, and EBONY magazines, my second favorite byline (in Ebony) came when I traveled to Sierra Leone, West Africa, with actor Isaiah Washington. It was there that he became the first African American to receive dual citizenship in an African country by DNA confirmation. Coincidentally, through DNA confirmation, I discovered that Sierra Leone is also the native land of my ancestors.
Another of my writing favorites is where I served as guest editor of a special collector’s supplement for the international DISCOP MAGAZINE. The twenty-two-page supplement celebrated the 45-year legacy of African Americans in television. The special edition included photo essays and profiles on key legends and leaders, both on and off the screen, who contributed to the history, growth, and success of African Americans in television.
